The staff of the DRC has a combined 50+ years of experience serving children and families. Our therapeutic services combine best practices for the treatment of mental health concerns with specialized knowledge for addressing the unique challenges of divorcing and separating individuals and families. Services are provided by all levels of licensed professionals in order to create resources for a range of incomes. These include fully-licensed clinical social worker and professional counselors, intermediate-licensed professionals under supervision, as well as a partnership with the University of Georgia as a placement site for Master-level interns. All professionals under supervision undergo intensive clinical, legal, and forensic training prior to providing direct services.
While many elements of divorce are far from child-friendly, we can accommodate all your needs in our facility with a play therapy room, professional offices, and a group meeting room. Children who arrive at our facility are greeted at their level and offered a variety of childhood snack favorites. Toys and books in the waiting area help to create a welcoming atmosphere for kids of all ages. And there's coffee and tea for the adults, of course, because we have our needs, too!
